Tressemanes & Vogt Hand Painted Handled Tray

Gustave Vogt (1849-1937), the second son of famous glass / porcelain maker John Vogt, took over the Limoges branch of his father’s company in 1870. Then, in the 1880’s, he became partners with Emilien Tressemanes. In 1891 they purchased two small porcelain factories, in Limoges. As Tressemanes & Vogt, they made high quality porcelain for export to the USA. Tressemann retired in 1907 and Gustave Vogt became sole owner.

In 1919 the company was sold, and the new owner continued to use the T & V backstamp. This company is still in business today.

Description

This is a really nice Tressemanes & Vogt, hand painted, porcelain tray. I believe its for cookies or homemade candies. There is a handle to put your finger through to help hold on to the piece.

It is in excellent condition, and is marked on the back.

Take a look at the pictures, and if you have questions, please e-mail.

Thanks.
