Lenox “Noblesse” 10-1/2″ Dinner Plate

The Lenox Company was founded in 1889 by Walter Scott Lenox. To begin with Lenox was known as Lenox’s Ceramic Art Company. It produced specialty, one of a kind, ceramic pieces. It was known for its quality.

Lenox became popular due to the custom design, high quality, dinner plates they produced. They also hired famous American artist William Morley, along with others, to produce these pieces. In 1906 Lenox changed his company’s name to Lenox, Incoorporated.

In the 1950’s Lenox produced five piece table settings, three piece buffet place settings and individual table ware settings. Lenox was the first company to develop a bridal registry.

Since the 1960’s the Lenox Company has changed ownership several times. Since 2009 it has been owned by Clarion Capital Partners.

This is a 10-1/2″ Lenox “Noblesse” dinner plate. It has the usual cream colored background that Lenox has made famous. There is a wide border of green leaves and teal blue raised dots interspersed on the leaf border. It has gold trim. This pattern was produced from 1972 until 1985.

I have five (5) of these dinner plates for sale, each one separately. They are in excellent, like new condition.
